Brandi Litter day 3

The Brandi x Bozz litter is now open for deposits. Brandi is the thickest female bulldogge I have and brings a lot to the table. Bozz, well what more can I say that I haven't already- he's the best bulldog I've owned. He's agile, gorgeous and sweet natured.

It's hard for me not to keep her but I have a pup from the previous litter now approaching 1 year old and she's just like her. I am truely pleased at how sweet the dogs are and they have passed my expectations (which are high as you know).

Jassmine

Jass x Bozz pups have a couple of cancellations due to personal issues on the customers behalf. I am so excited about this litter and know the people will be just so excited when they get the dogs as I've held a pup out of the last litter back (Tasha). Jassmine is such a doll and a great mothers. Bozz was so love sick he didn't come in the house for days when she was in heat again..

We have some wonderful Amazon Babies currently. The parents are fantastic talkers and I've seen birds out of these parents talking before they have went home with people. I believe the temperaments are passed on and try to make great matches just like we do with dogs.

Rat Terriers

I'm sold out on the Tallie x Cocoa litter. Very, very pleased with the results and I want to thank
Lisa Moore of Rat Manor for sending me such fantastic dogs.

I spoke with Lisa and she understands my breeding goals- to produce more dogs like Tallie with fantastic structure and great temperaments and Lisa has helped me on that path once again. I have bought another dog from her and cannot wait to get it.

She always said Rat Terriers were addicting, and I know why now everytime I see Mocha with Jr or deal w/ either Cocoa or Tallie. They are just fantastic little dogs and are very athletic and intelligent.

I just cannot wait to produce more dogs like these. It is just so exciting to produce great rat terriers.

BREEDING ALERT BOZZ x JASS repeat

Bozz had 2 ties with Jassmine, this is a repeat breeding. This produced fantastic dogs such as
tasha and Marley

The owners of Penny (red dog) on the left drove from Georgia for this Olde English Bulldogge.

Marley (white) owners came from Jacksonville Florida for their Olde English Bulldog.


I have people come from all over the United States for Olde English Bulldogge puppies we produce. People are willing to go the distance to get a quality dog from the Original Olde English Bulldogge lines.

kennels relocated

I was able to get the girls moved to the new setting. It will be much easier to care for them and the slab came out fantastic. (I'm very pleased)

I still have further improvements to make. I've fenced in a new exercise yard for them. I really like it because they can really take advantage of the free space. I will be putting up some things for them to excercise on and currently putting quite a bit of thought into how I want it.

There is ginger giving the other dogs the evil eye (lol) Ginger really loves it in the new area, much more for her to see.

Brandi - putting her game face on, she is really a trip. I usually have her out with me when doing any work on the property, she sticks right with me. Not all of them will do that but she does. I have her now able to retrieve toys when we play. She's not nuts about the horses but she has grown to live with it.

Kennels - slab gets poured

Today we the slab was poured for the ranch

We were lucky to get a great driver that helped us out with excellent tips. This is the largest slab I've ever been a part of making. Not very big for many people, nonetheless, was quite big for me.

I'm glad I decided to put a board against the back or we'd have a heck of a time getting it correct. We were going to eye it but it would have been a huge mistake.

Here we let little G take the wheel. He was very familiar

with the process as he watches Bob the builder.

He insisted on running the show so we let him jump in. Best time to start working is now.

I'm very happy so far with the results(2 stars and a snap) - even though Greg didn't come help he did support me by phone. This is the largest slab I've done but so far I'm pleased with the results.

Jr. enjoyed the dumptruck on the property, I was a bit concerned having 80,000 pounds cross

over the waterpipes to the barn, but it all worked out well.

We rented the float, though I thought about buying one. More expensive then I had imagined so I rented it. I have many more slabs to do here at the ranch but one will cross my path.

Then we rouned out the corners - Greg gave me a great tip about it. Least we got something accomplished over vacation :-) Thanks to my bro in law for always helping me when I need him. We have a shot of faith in there, she is looking good.

She looks good and is a good girl. We can't wait to watch her thicken up.

Why is there so much Olde English Bulldogge variation out there

This question comes from a reader:

I love these kinda questions and they deserve honest answers. The creator of the Breed David Leavitt I believe didn't realize there would be such a demand for these dogs. Call it what you will but for whatever reason didn't trademark the name so many other people bred a dog that looked similar.

They found out that breeding a dog back to an English Bulldog wasn't exactly too difficult to do and many people did things to try to re-create the wheel or add their signature to a line (I guess)

I felt that the 35 years of quality dogs that the breeders before me did in keeping the line as pure as possible would give me better consistency and health.

I noticed from my first purchase of an Olde English Bulldogge that she didn't come out like I had hoped. She was not an Olde English that came down from David's original stock, she was a mix. She was enough to make me work harder to get a True Olde English Bulldog.

I got the Bozz and the rest is Bulldogranch history, he was that good to make me jump in with both feet. His hips also checked out great but again, thats from work of all the breeders before me.

Here is a picture of David with one of his favorites in the day Bullmead's Tweed, this dog is the true Olde English Bulldog and why I am a traditionalist about the breed.
